About Us

Based in Sydney, New South Wales, The Plant Yard Pty Ltd is a family owned business established in April 1998. Its director has worked as a construction site manager and later as a Plant and Machinery manager for one of Australia’s premier construction companies. It is this previous experience and training which has resulted in The Plant Yard’s unique ability to provide an insight into the customer’s requirements for particular equipment.

As an equipment hire company we specialise in the hire of construction materials handling equipment, site accommodation and tools to the building and construction industry. Our mission is to continue to provide a high standard of equipment and personalised service to our existing clients and to welcome new clients to our valued client base.

From our clients

I hired a site shed expecting the normal service that I had received from other companies. Not so. Their service was first class, from a secure, clean shed, which unfortunately the shed became to small for me. I was offered a larger unit transferred all my gear, plus some, and surprisingly all of this with no fuss and smooth change over A lot of organisations could take a leaf from this company, and their staff.

Michael Masta

Customer

"They had a great variety of steel road plates to suit our job. The team at The Plant Yard were also very helpful during the recent downpours of rain. We were able to get dewatering pumps, hoses and a sedimentation bin ASAP to dewater our flooded site and get back to work.."

Jack Rains

Customer

Huge range of equipment, a one stop shop. This was my first time dealing with them and I have no regrets. Answered all questions I had and found a solution for me. Happy to recommend to anyone considering using them.
